DANNY HAMEL MEMORIAL FUND

History:

The Danny Hamel Memorial Fund was started in 1995 as a non-profit organization. The DH Fund is dedicated to supporting up coming racers and showing a positive role model image through commitment to off road racing, local communities, and personal education. In 1999 the Danny Hamel Memorial Fund Racing Program, Team DH was founded.

One of the primary goals for Team DH has been to ultimately give each rider the necessary support to have the opportunity to get signed to a factory ride, making off road racing a career. In just four short years, Team DH has won multiple national, regional, and local championships and signed two riders to factory Kawasaki Racing and KTM Sportmotorcycles Racing Team in 2001. The team consists of racers ages 9 to 21, each rider riding in the top of the field for his age group. While Team DH attends in upwards of 40 events per year, the primary focus is the prestigious World Off Road Championship Series WORCS, where each event is professionally run, covered by every form of media including television broadcasts, web coverage, and hard press, and provides a family and friendly grass roots approac for a drug and violence free environment for young and old.

The WORCS travels across the United States displaying their participatin in the off road motorcross racing industry supported by the top names in the industry as series sponsors. www.worcsracing.com for sponsors and more information. This series of professional events will be the stage to put our program into action.
